TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Five times a national champion. The Florida State soccer team has created a dynasty in Tallahassee, and their fan base is proud of them.
“The whole neighborhood could hear us hollering,” laughed Nicole McKinney, who was one of many fans who greeted the team when they landed at the airport. “I’m pretty sure. I’m surprised they didn’t call the cops.”
“Our dog was scared to death!” added Linda Shults. “He jumped off the couch he was screaming so loud.”
Cheers well deserved for the national champion Florida State soccer team. The Seminoles were greeted like champions Tuesday when they landed in Tallahassee.
“It’s such a testament to what FSU is all about,” said Shults. “We love it.”
