Federal prosecutors are expected to file criminal charges soon after agents working undercover in Macomb County investigated the creator of an app that let users remotely spy on victims’ cell phones and computers, federal court records show.

The four-year investigation targeting pcTattletale creator and founder Bryan Fleming, 54, of Bruce Township is revealed in a search warrant affidavit unsealed this month in federal court in Detroit. The affidavit listed probable cause to search Fleming’s $1.2 million, 7,700-square-foot mansion in northern Macomb County for evidence linking him to an alleged conspiracy involving computer hacking.
