ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Concerns about noise pollution, safety, and accountability remain following approval of a plan to bring more hangars to DeKalb-Peachtree Airport.
DeKalb County residents spoke out at a DeKalb-Peachtree Airport expansion town hall hosted by Commissioner Ted Terry.
“I don’t want it, I don’t think anyone here really wants it,” said one DeKalb County resident.
“We’re concerned about the quality of our lives, the value of our homes,” said Steven Wolf, who has lived with his wife, Lois Wolf, in Sagamore Hills for 43 years.
The Wolfs live a mile from DeKalb-Peachtree Airport, they said.
“I mean, and they come in quite low and same backyard, you can literally see the numbers. I swear. Maybe we could even see the eyeballs of the pilot,” said Lois Wolf.
