The Mohali Municipal Corporation continued its anti-encroachment drive for the second consecutive day on Tuesday, triggering protests at several spots across Phase 11 and Phase 10. When the MC team reached Phase 11 in the morning to remove illegal structures, local residents opposed the action. The situation escalated briefly, prompting DSP City-2 Harsimran Bal to arrive at the spot and pacify the crowd. Officials then directed residents to voluntarily remove their encroachments by 3 pm, after which people began dismantling their own temporary structures.
