IndiGo airline on Tuesday (December 9) said it has cut 400-500 flights to achieve the full stabilisation of schedule. Instead of 2300 flights, the airline will operate 1800-1900 flights daily, the airline said.
The domestic carrier added that passengers will be intimated about cancellations 72 hours in advance, if their flight is among the 400-500 flights cancelled.
IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers today said the airline's operations are now "fully stabilised" after days of severe flight disruptions that grounded thousands of passengers and triggered regulatory scrutiny. "We've let you down… and we're sorry for that," he said in a video address, adding that IndiGo is "back on its feet" with on-time performance normalised.
