Thursday marked the final campaign finance reporting deadline for Longmont’s 2025 council election. Longmont campaign finance law requires candidates to file contribution and expenditure reports with the city clerk 30 days after the election.
According to the Longmont Fair Campaign Practices Act, City Council candidates may accept contributions but cannot receive more than $310 per person. Candidates must report the name and street address of anyone who donates more than $50. Contribution limits are adjusted based on the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood consumer price index, according to Longmont’s website.
Including in-kind donations, which cover non-cash contributions, such as goods or services, filings show that a combined total of $134,083.13 was contributed to Longmont council campaigns this
