With bowl game and College Football Playoff assignments all set and divvied out, it's now postseason award announcement season in college football.
That continued in the SEC on Dec. 9 when the conference announced its All-SEC postseason teams, as voted on by each of the conference's 16 head coaches.
Leading the way on the All-SEC first team was Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia, the first Commodores player to be invited to the Heisman Trophy ceremony in New York as one of the four finalists for college football's most prestigious award. Pavia threw a career-high 3,192 yards and 27 touchdowns this season, with a conference-best completion percentage at 71.2%.
His teammate, tight end Eli Stowers, also was named to the first team.
