A Bengaluru-based restaurant has issued a public apology after a sign restricting food delivery personnel from using the lift at one of its outlets triggered severe backlash on social media.

It all began after a Reddit user posted a photo of a notice pasted near the lift of the Meghana Foods outlet that read: “Note: Swiggy and Zomato delivery boys not allowed in lift. Please use stairs. Thank you.”

The image went viral, prompting strong reactions from users who accused the restaurant of disrespecting the very people who help sustain its business.
