Controversial plans to expand two Nuneaton schools are set to be given the go-ahead. CoventryLive first reported on the proposals for both Whitestone and Chetwynd schools to take on more pupils last year.
In both cases, there was huge opposition to the plans, with traffic concerns were the biggest issues especially around the impact of the increase in traffic on parking and the safety implications the increase could create for pedestrians. As a result, Warwickshire County Council shelved the plans to re-look at the issues.
But then they were put back on the table - with changes - including measures to tackle the traffic issues. This led to another round of public consultation being held.
