A new mother is burned out of her mobile home in Rainbow, and everything in it — including the baby shower gifts — are destroyed.
The fire happened in her home last week while she was inside feeding her daughter.
"Right here, I had her crib. It was in the middle," Violeta Nieto said.
Nieto had lived in the home since she was 14 years old. Now, it's burnt to the frame. Everything in it was incinerated.
“My tablet, my phone and her clothes — everything was in there. All of our stuff is in there," Nieto said. "Paperwork from the hospital. Her bag."
The fire started last Thursday afternoon. The night before, the power went out. When the landlord turned it back on, sparks began to fly.
The power comes from the main house. It is connected to the mobile home through a small junction box jus
