Kingsford wrestlers competed in a St. Ignace tournament over the weekend, finishing second out of 14 teams with five wrestlers reaching the podium.
— Flivvers freshman Caleb Warner finished second at 106. “He upset a few kids to make the finals and he’s honestly been the biggest surprise so far in this young season,” said Kingsford coach Darren Groleau. “He works extremely hard in the practice room and is always wanting to learn. So it was nice to see him make the finals. He battled hard in the finals but just fell a little short.”
— Tyler Bray finished first at 165 with a pin. “Tyler showed why he is one of our hammers and a returning state placer with two pins,” Groleau said.
