Question: Two of my favorite house plants have gotten quite large. How can I tell when it is time to move them to larger pots? How do I select the best potting soil and fertilizer?
Answer: Your frequency of watering is probably the best indicator of when it is time to shift plants to a larger pot. If a plant needs to be watered every day or two to keep it from wilting, it is probably time to move it to a larger pot. Choose pots that are just an inch or two larger when moving plants to larger size pots.
