Real Madrid have been sweating over the fitness of Kylian Mbappe ahead of their Champions League showdown with Manchester City .
Mbappe did not train with his team-mates on Tuesday in a major fitness worry for under-pressure Real manager Xabi Alonso.
Reports in Spain say Mbappe has a left leg issue and Real are set to make a decision on his involvement on Wednesday. He also suffered a broken finger last weekend.
Real will definitely be without midfielder Edouardo Camavinga, while Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to be sidelined for months after he tore his thigh.
As such, it leaves Alonso in a tricky position for his starting XI at the Bernabeu.
Thibaut Courtois will be in goal and it is likely to be Federico Valverde at right-back due to Alexander-Arnold’s injury, and Raul Asenc
