The high school basketball season in Georgia is off and running and the action is set to pick up with teams showing off their talents in upcoming holiday tournaments.

The outlook for the girls season features several teams from the Savannah area that have the potential to make some noise in the postseason.

Jenkins had a heartbreaking end to last season when the Warriors lost on a buzzer beater in the Class 3A state semifinals to eventual champion Cherokee Bluff. The Warriors bring nearly everyone back and are currently ranked No. 5 in the state in Class 3A by Sanddyspiel.com.
