Derby Day plans have been announced for both Newcastle United and Sunderland AFC fans, from Northumbria Police , the British Transport Police, Newcastle and Sunderland City Councils and Metro operator Nexus .

The excitement is continuing to build ahead of Sunday's Wear-Tyne Derby , with organisations from both cities working to make the day as safe as possible for the supporters attending the highly-anticipated football match.
