Enter Stage Right at the Citadel Theatre are rehearsing now for a stage play of "Little Women" this January.
The play will be performed from Jan. 9 to Jan. 25 and will run at 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. on Sundays.
"Little Women," a novel written by Louisa May Alcott and published in 1868 that follows four sisters during the U.S. Civil War, has been brought to the stage in multiple forms since its publication. Enter Stage Right will be performing a musical version written by Katie Hamill.
Hamill has made stage plays of several 19th century novels, including "Pride and Prejudice," "Vanity Fair," "Dracula" and "Sherlock Holmes." Her musical adaptation of "Little Women" was first performed in 2018.
