A Congress leader has lodged a police complaint against Tripura minister Tinku Roy, alleging fake educational certificates and suppression of a pending criminal case in election affidavits

A Congress leader in Tripura lodged a complaint with a police station in Unakoti district, alleging that state minister Tinku Roy's educational certificates, declared during the filing of affidavits in the last two assembly elections, were "fake", a lawyer said on Wednesday.

The minister was also accused of concealing a criminal case pending against him while submitting his nomination during the state polls, he said. Read More
