The Ministry of Rural Development has approved 25 road projects totalling 65.38 km under the Road Connectivity component of PM-JANMAN, with an estimated investment of Rs 686.7 million for the State of Tripura. The initiative is designed to strengthen rural infrastructure and improve access for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs).
The sanctioned projects will provide all-weather connectivity to 30 PVTG habitations, improving living standards and supporting the integration of remote communities with wider economic networks. Enhanced connectivity is expected to bridge the divide between rural and urban areas, promote economic development, and stimulate local trade and commerce.
