New Delhi, Dec 10: PM-KUSUM has achieved notable progress with 10,203 MW installed by the end of November. As of November 30, Rs 7,106 crore has been allocated to states based on their demands.

The scheme promotes participation from individual farmers and groups and prioritizes small and marginal farmers using micro irrigation. Simplified procedures and revised guidelines, effective January 17, 2024, aim to enhance implementation.

Farmers can receive subsidies for solar pump installation and sell electricity generated from solar plants on their land, furthering India’s commitment to energy justice and farmer empowerment.
