Kondhwa Police have arrested a 49-year-old man for allegedly molesting a woman by taking advantage of heavy crowding inside a PMPML bus travelling from Yewalewadi to Pune Station.

The incident occurred between Samtanagar and Lullanagar Chowk, where the accused allegedly misbehaved with the woman. Following the incident, the victim lodged a complaint at Kondhwa Police Station under IPC Section 354.

Recognising the seriousness of the case, Senior Police Inspector Kumar Ghadge and Police Inspector (Crime) Navnath Jagtap directed a dedicated investigation team to trace the unidentified suspect. Since the accused was not known to the victim and had acted in a crowded public bus, identifying him posed a challenge.
