In the 1934 musical “Anything Goes,” penned by Cole Porter, a cast of characters including gangsters, sailors, a debutant and a lord, among many others, cavorts aboard the ocean liner S.S American as it makes its way to England from New York City. The ship is shrunk down to the size of The Spot’s black box theater in Ketchum for its run here through Sunday, but its cast—high school students and recent graduates participating in The Spot Young Company program—still plays it big.

The Spot Young Company is a tuition-free pre-professional program that draws from schools across the valley.
