A slight rise in temperatures in the D.C. region on Wednesday may convince some to leave the hat and gloves at home, but beware of those gusty chilly winds.

7News First Alert Chief Meteorologist Veronica Johnson said she’s tracking several instances of wintry weather for the next few days.
On Wednesday, expect cloudy skies with temperatures in the 40s. Neighborhoods along the Maryland/Pennsylvania border might see some afternoon showers, but those closer to the D.C. metro region will get to leave those umbrellas at home. A blizzard warning is in effect for northwestern Maryland along Interstate 68 into Thursday morning.
Anticipate some stray showers Wednesday night and then some afternoon snow flurries on Friday.
