Red Sox make decision on free agent Bo Bichette
The Boston Red Sox are off and running for an active offseason.
There apparently is at least one player they won't be going after, though: Bo Bichette.
The Toronto Blue Jays free agent will be the highest-paid infielder available on the open market. But according to MLB writer Julian McWilliams , the Red Sox are out on Bichette.
This does make a solid amount of sense.
Boston already has Trevor Story at shortstop and will likely rely on one of the top prospects, either Marcelo Mayer or Kristian Campbell, to play second base. The Red Sox are still interested in bringing back Alex Bregman to play third base, too.
On top of that, Boston has been linked to trade talks for both Corey Seager and Ketel Marte.
