Bhubaneswar: Members of the Odisha Medical Services Association (OMSA) has threatened to launch a statewide strike from January, 2026 if the state government fails to fulfil their 18-point charter of demands.
Doctors across the state will boycott work and also refrain from attending OPDs as part of the agitation, according to OMSA state president Dr Kishore Chandra Mishra. ADVERTISEMENT
Noting that the doctors have been on a peaceful agitation since November 20, he said the government is yet to fulfil their demands despite assurance given to OMSA in the past.
OMSA’s primary demand is the immediate implementation of the Dynamic Assured Career Progression (DACP) scheme, which has already been adopted in at least 18 other states.
