The Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed in the Karnataka Dharmasthala case has submitted its preliminary investigation report to the Belthangady court. The report states that the entire matter was a well-thought-out conspiracy.

The SIT stated in the report that the entire controversy was fabricated by anti-Dharmasthala activists. The report has currently given a clean chit to the temple administration. The team has requested more time from the court to complete the investigation.

The SIT has named a total of six people as accused, including complainant Chinnayya, Mahesh Shetty Timarodi, Girish Mattannavar, Jayanth, Vittal Gowda, and Sujatha Bhatt.
