The NFL is going back to Germany.
Regular-season games will be held at Munich’s Allianz Arena in 2026 and 2028, the league announced on Wednesday. The teams involved have not been announced.
These will be the third and fourth NFL games played at Allianz Stadium. The venue hosted contests in 2022 and 2024. In total, five NFL games have been played in Germany, between Munich, Frankfurt and Berlin.
The Indianapolis Colts are the only NFL team who have played twice in Germany.
“I am delighted about the extension of our contract with the NFL,” City of Munich’s mayor Verena Dietl said in a statement. “Together, we are committed to promoting football in Germany and spreading the palpable enthusiasm for the sport.”
