BENGALURU: The lack of transport is often an obstacle to the desire of Malayalis living away to come home during the holidays and celebrate. Train tickets are sold out a month in advance, and bus fares more than double. Bengaluru Malayalis who are having difficulty reaching home for Christmas this year can now take comfort. The Railways have allowed two special trains. The trains will operate on the Hubballi-Thiruvananthapuram North route and the Bengaluru-Kollam route.

The train will depart from Hubballi at 6.55 am on December 23 and reach Bengaluru at 2.25 pm. It will reach its destination at 10.30 am.
