PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- AAA has released its travel forecast for the Christmas and New Year's rush.

As expected, most travelers will be hitting the road.

AAA projects a record 122 million Americans will travel at least 50 miles from home between December 20 and January 1.

They say 109 million of those travelers will do so by car.

Lowering gas prices is also sure to help with the year-end travel.
