A woman in her 40s has been charged with drink driving after a three-vehicle crash in Bishop Auckland yesterday.

Durham Police were called to the A688 roundabout near Aldi at about 2.45pm following reports of a crash.

The woman was charged with failing a roadside breath test and driving without insurance.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We were called to reports of a three-vehicle collision on the A688 in Bishop Auckland shortly before 2.45pm yesterday (Tuesday, December 9).

"A woman in her 40s was arrested for failing the roadside breath test, and was later charged with the offence and for driving without insurance."
