The Montreal Canadiens are down another forward.
Jake Evans is away from the team and will miss Thursday’s game against the Pittsburgh Penguins for personal reasons, it announced on Wednesday.
He’s slated to rejoin the Canadiens ahead of Saturday’s game against the New York Rangers.
Evans, of Toronto, has four goals and four assists in 28 games this season.
The 29-year-old has spent his entire 379-game career with Montreal, tallying 44 goals and 92 assists.
He played 14:08 in Tuesday’s 6-1 loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning, registering one shot.
