AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - The Akron RubberDucks have a new owner, but the team will stay in Akron.
Major League Baseball approved the sale to Prospector Baseball Group on Tuesday.
The sale price has not been disclosed, but the new owners said they will continue the tradition of “affordable family fun” at games.
The team had been owned by Ken Babby, who is now the CEO of the Tampa Bay Rays.
