High school hockey season is rolling along.

With over a month in the books, many programs are establishing themselves as the best in the state.

For Week 4 (Dec. 8), Detroit Catholic Central moved into the No. 1 spot in Division 1 in the most recent Michigan High School Hockey Coaches Association rankings. Hartland, which was recently No. 1, dropped to No. 2, while Howell stayed put at No. 3. Brighton and Clarkston rounded out D1’s top five.

In D2, Flint Powers Catholic (No. 1), Trenton (No. 2), Livonia Stevenson (No. 3) and Grandville (No. 4) all maintained their spots, while Rochester United moved up three spots to No. 5.

Orchard Lake St. Mary’s stayed at No. 1 in D3, Riverview Gabriel Richard stayed at No. 2, Cranbrook moved up two spots to No. 3, Houghton stayed at No. 4, and Marque
