As another round of snow sweeps across Michigan on Dec. 10, a winter weather advisory is in effect for most of the Lower Peninsula.

In the Lower Peninsula, a winter weather advisory is in place until Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 10, covering northern, central, southeast and southwest counties. Another 1-4 inches of snow is expected to accumulate by Thursday morning, Dec. 12, with 35 mph wind gusts, according to the National Weather Service's Probabilistic Precipitation Portal .

As of 10 a.m. on Dec. 10, the NWS in Detroit expanded the advisory to include the M-59 corridor .
