Donald Trump kicked off his so-called affordability tour on Tuesday night with a rally at the Mount Airy Casino Resort in the Pocono Mountains. White House aides described this as the start of a “relentless campaign on the economy for the next 11 months,” according to Politico. But rather than assuring Americans struggling with the high cost of living that he feels their pain and has a plan to help, the president just reiterated that he feels their affordability concerns are a “hoax.” Then he launched into an especially racist version of “ the weave, ” lobbing attacks at “shithole” countries, spewing lies about Ilhan Omar , and making some bold claims about how “Black people love Trump.” And he topped it all off with sexist musings, semi-coherent rambling, and wacky noises.
