Two guitar legends are going on tour together.

Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, who perform as the SatchVai Band, announced their “Surfing with the Hydra” tour dates, including three stops in Upstate New York. They’ll play Kleinhans Music Hall in Buffalo on May 12; the Landmark Theatre in Syracuse on May 17; and the Palace Theatre in Albany on May 21.

Progressive metal band Animals as Leaders will open all three concerts.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 12, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster . Prices have not been announced.
