Meet Lars the baby reindeer, who clearly thinks he is a dog.
And he knows that whilst outside is fun, indoors is cozier on a winter's day.
Lars is just shy of seven months old and has been hand reared at a reindeer farm in England.
The reindeers here at Real Reindeer are bred for Christmas events and promotions.
Lars was born on 17 May 2025 but his mother Tindra had a low milk supply so owner Angie Nelson decided to try to hand rear him.
Nelson says Lars is the only reindeer in the UK who has been successfully hand raised.
"How did it happen? That's a question I kind of have to keep asking myself. His mum didn't have enough milk, the only option to us was to take him in and basically become his mother so that is what we did," she explains.
That decision meant bringing the calf into the house, where he slept near Nelson for two weeks, in a makeshift pen in the living room.
"The mothers dote on them, they really do and I needed to give him that. There's no point having him out in the stable, going out every two hours to see him, he needed to be part of a family," adds Nelson.
Lars obeys commands like a canine and no wonder as his first animal companions were the farm's dogs:
"The dogs are really fundamental, I think, because they gave him that animal interaction, they would lick him over his face, which obviously I draw a line at."
Lars has now been re-introduced to the rest of the reindeer herd.
