New Delhi, December 10 (UNI): The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Wednesday sealed three unauthorised jeans dyeing units in east Delhi’s Kalyanpuri area.

The action, taken by the Shahdara South Zone, is part of the civic body’s sustained drive against polluting and hazardous industries functioning without approval.

According to a senior official, the operation was led by the General Branch team of the Shahdara South Zone, with crucial support from the Delhi Police to ensure safe and effective enforcement.

The units were found to be functioning in violation of environmental and municipal regulations, discharging pollutants, operating without mandatory permissions, and posed risks to both residents and the local ecosystem.
