The Orlando Magic and New York Knicks have started a fledgling rivalry in the NBA’s Eastern Conference this year. From hard-fought games to Magic wing Desmond Bane throwing a basketball at Knicks forward OG Anunoby, sparks have flown.

The teams will write another chapter this coming Saturday as both have advanced to the semi-final round of the 2025 Emirates NBA Cup tournament. The Magic overcame a slow start versus the Miami Heat last night, outscoring the South Bay pacemakers by 19 points in the middle quarters to take away a 117-108 victory. The Knicks dominated the Toronto Raptors in a 34-13 second period on their way to a 117-101 win. That sets the Eastern bracket for Saturday’s 2:30 PM, Pacific showdown.
