A suspect has been arrested following the shooting that left New York Jets defensive back Kris Boyd in critical condition.

Frederick Green of The Bronx was arrested on Tuesday and charged with attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon, according to ESPN .

He was taken into custody Monday morning in Amherst, New York before being transported to a Midtown Manhattan police precinct and formally charged on Tuesday, the outlet reports.

Boyd was shot in the abdomen in New York on Nov. 16 at approximately 2 a.m.

He was with fellow Jets players Jamien Sherwood and Irvin Charles when a brawl started outside of a restaurant and he was shot, according to the New York Post .
