Reliever Kyle Finnegan and the Detroit Tigers reached agreement on a two-year, $19 ‍million contract, multiple media outlets reported.

The Tigers have yet to confirm the reports, however.

Finnegan, who was born in Detroit, posted ‌a 4-4 record ‌with 24 saves and a 3.47 ERA in 56 relief appearances last season split between the Washington Nationals and Tigers.

Detroit acquired the 34-year-old Finnegan from ‍Washington on July 31 in exchange for pitching prospects Josh Randall and ‍R.J. Sales.

An All-Star in 2024, Finnegan is 26-30 with 112 saves and a 3.55 ERA in 347 career ‍games (zero starts) since making his MLB debut with Washington in 2020. The ‍right-hander ‍has struck out 343 batters in 347 1/3 ⁠innings.
