Recently, the Indianapolis Colts shocked the NFL landscape when they signed their former quarterback, Philip Rivers , to the practice squad at the age of 44. The news comes in the wake of Daniel Jones' devastating Achilles injury that he suffered last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and opens the door for Rivers to become one of the oldest quarterbacks to ever suit up.
Further motivating the team to sign Rivers was the fact that backup quarterback Riley Leonard is also dealing with an injury of his own, leaving the Colts with a ton of question marks leading up to this weekend's game on the road against the Seattle Seahawks.
Recently, Colts head coach Shane Steichen didn't exactly provide a clear answer on what the plan is for that game.
