A London-area cannabis company is recalling some of its products after finding out they’re not as potent as advertised.
JC Green, a licensed pot producer in Thorndale, issued a voluntary recall this week for some of its Jonny Chronic products.
The company had sourced cannabis through a third-party to maintain its fill rates – the percentage of orders a business can fulfill from its available inventory without back orders or lost sales – and meet agreements with provincial wholesalers, JC Green said.
Lab testing indicated a 30 per cent level of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive component in cannabis, but further investigation showed it to be around 15 per cent, JC Green said.
