Michigan Wolverines head football coach Sherrone Moore has been fired with cause after an investigation confirmed that he engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member, University of Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel confirmed in a statement obtained by ESPN 's Pete Thamel on Wednesday (December 10).

"U-M head football coach Sherrone Moore has been terminated, with cause, effective immediately. Following a University investigation, credible evidence was found that Coach Moore engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member," Manuel said via Thamel.
