SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -Spire Natural Gas is preparing to roll out a new customer assistance program.

The company says the Customer Charge Waiver Program will start early next year. People who meet income guidelines will get $22 taken off each bill for a year. Spire says it will be for people with “limited incomes.”

For those who want to help someone in their community keep the lights on, Spire says their Dollar Help program steps in.

Customers can apply through their local community action corporation, such as OACAC, or by calling 211.
