WASHINGTON — An actress who appeared on “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Midtown Manhattan earlier this week, New York police told multiple sources .
Wenne Alton Davis was hit just before 9 p.m. Monday while crossing Broadway near West 53rd Street by an SUV, authorities said. The SUV was traveling west on West 53rd Street, and made a left turn onto Broadway before striking the 60-year-old. She was taken to a hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The driver remained at the scene, and no charges have been filed at this time.
Davis’ representatives confirmed her death to CBS News, and said she had been out to dinner with friends and was on her way home to Queens when the crash occurred.
