OMAHA, Neb. —

The Omaha Supernovas will open their season after the New Year.

The media got the chance to hear from the Novas' new head coach Luka Slabe.

He said the team is working hard as they prepare to open the season against San Diego.

"They're learning a lot. They're being learners. They're receiving feedback well, right now. It's on us coaches to make sure we don't over coach that. So easy to do and to overwhelm them because if we coach everything, we coach nothing," Slabe said.

The Supernovas take on the Mojo on Jan. 8.
