New boss, new Oscar party.

The biggest fete on Hollywood’s biggest night is decamping from the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills for the Fairfax-area environs of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The decision is part of a new, multi-year partnership between LACMA and Vanity Fair . It also may have something to do with the magazine’s new boss.

In June, Condé Nast appointed Mark Guiducci to lead Vanity Fair as global editorial director, replacing then-Editor-in-Chief Radhika Jones after her eight-year run there.

Today’s move can be seen as Guiducci’s effort to put his own imprint on the must-attend event.

Before VF , Guiducci was creative editorial director at Vogue under the tutelage of Condé chief content officer Anna Wintour.
