COLUMBUS, Ohio — For months, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton’s campaign and others in her party have sought to tarnish Vivek Ramaswamy, Acton’s likely Republican opponent next November, for not taking more aggressive positions regarding the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
However, their efforts to make the Epstein scandal a political liability for Ramaswamy so far don’t appear to be catching fire with voters.
As one political scientist told cleveland.com, attempts to make Epstein an issue hasn’t caught on because other voters are more concerned about other issues of the day.
The Democratic attacks have primarily focused on how Ramaswamy has been far more muted about the Epstein files during his 10-month-old gubernatorial campaign than he was during his 2024 presidential campaign,
