KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) - After a Cinderella run as the 3A East’s 14-seed, Kinston now prepares for the state championship game on Saturday. But if you ask the Vikings, they’re never the underdog.
“I see a ‘dawg mentality,’ we don’t have to be home to win. Even last year, all our playoff games were on the road, and we made it to the 4th round, so we were kinda used to it this year,” Kinston star wideout Tyreek Copper said.
After four more road victories in the playoffs this year, the Vikings will face Shelby from the west on Saturday (2 p.m.) in Durham.
