OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Most of us do everything we can to protect vital personal information like social security numbers from prying eyes. A viewer tells First Alert 6, Sarpy County sent at least one letter in the mail, with their number available for anyone to see.
Recently, Kymbelie Bennett received a notice for a legal matter between her and Sarpy County. The problem is the envelope it came in had her personal information on display.
“I was alarmed and a bit unsettled when I saw that my name, address, date of birth, and Social Security number was visible in the window,” said Kym.
Kym claims she received a total of four notices with the same issue since late July. After the second notice, she mentioned it to county officials but did not press them too hard. When a fourth letter arrived
